The Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) at Texas Tech University held an activism event satirizing the idea of Affirmative Action as it relates to Public University admissions. The event was held on April 27th, 2011 from 10am to 2pm in Texas Tech's Free Speech Zone.

Many members engaged in debate and discussions with students who were passing by and took interest in purchasing cookies that were listed at different prices dependent on race, ethnicity, or gender.

The state level of the organization favors prohibiting public universities from using race-based affirmative action programs.
